Fund a Future

IMG_4325.JPG

This year we have a number of young people in college. College is an absolute must in the Philippines if you want to get any sort of decent work or a career. This year, these young people are trying to change the course of their lives, break free of poverty and pioneer new roads for others to walk on after them.

Many of the poor never break free of poverty. To battle the real poverty trap, whilst being “in” poverty yourself, is a very, very difficult thing to do…but if someone from outside of poverty, someone outside of your situation, reaches out a hand and can lift you up, even just a little bit then breaking free of poverty becomes very achievable.

Here is a list of young people that we currently connect with who are in college this year. Some of them we fund, some of them we encourage, but all of them we promote here as people worthy of support.

Consider what (if anything) you could do to assist these young people with the costs associated with their studies. The figures are all relatively small – for example, the first student here needs AUD 500 per year for course fees. These students also need books and a bit of cash to transport them to school, some lunch money, so maybe the first young lady would need AUD 700 a year.

…but this post is not about money, it’s about providing OPPORTUNITIES to young people who were born poor, but who don’t need to stay in poverty.

Read through the list, listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit, can you assist in whole or in part any of these students…

This is about Funding a Future…
