I have received so many messages and comments of condolence connected to my mothers death. It’s comforting to know that people care, the offers of prayer and support have been very well received and are much appreciated. Thank you to everyone who has commented.
We are a very small family here in Australia, with our parents emigrating from the UK in 69. There is just myself and three sisters with our growing families, no cousins, aunts or uncles, those who are left are all in the UK.
My father died in 1988 very suddenly, with mum passing on the 21st of April. It happens to us all, but it is odd to have neither parent alive anymore.
This is just a short blog to say “THANK YOU”, to all of my christian friends and family.
The bible talks often using the term “brothers in Christ” and that is most definitely true. We all have our natural families, but there is just some thing so special with the Holy Spirit based connection that joins believers together all over the world. Where ever you are on the planet, you can walk into a church or the home of a Christian that you might never have met before, and there is a sense of belonging that is there due to us all having the same Spirit. The family of God is worldwide and I am very glad that I am part of it.
I have not replied to many of the comments or messages as they have come in, waiting instead to do it here, but please be assured everyone’s comments have been read and are very much appreciated.
The actual burial service will be this coming Monday, in Ballarat, Victoria.
Thank you all so much.
