I was privileged to speak at the first youth service in the new building.
I love the energy, zeal and passion of the young people. We can learn so much from them, but they in turn also need us. We need to be the mature examples of consistently walking with Jesus, who then teach, preach and show them the way.
The tricky part, is not holding them back too much. The zeal of youth wants to run forward with things that they often don’t fully understand, or things that they haven’t really worked out properly yet, the mature stabling hand needs to sometimes settle the youthful zeal without damaging it. It can be a tricky balance.
Our young people should start their journey with Jesus in a better place than we did due to our input into their lives.
I enjoy being with the younger generation.
