Beware the Past
Every new idea, concept comes from outside your current understanding. Your understanding will automatically question, challenge or qualify something new, and will often want to naturally reject something new, because it’s unknown. But if we always reject the new, nothing can ever advance.
We must stay open for newness, we must desire the new, we must actually seek out new things with great deliberation. Enjoy the “moment” while looking for the “movement” forward that the moment might make.
The past can impair our ability to embrace the new. Don’t let past negative experiences project expectations into your present or your future. The past should not become a permanent reference point.
The past WAS, but it no longer IS.
